Every year nearly 56,000 air cadets and volunteer staff take part in exciting events all over the country. There's usually a lot going on, so we're sure you'll find something that will challenge you!

What does the RAF Air Cadets offer?
The RAF Air Cadets (RAFAC) is a uniformed youth organisation which has been around since1941. It is open to young people from School Year 8 up to their 20th birthday. Parents and guardians are welcome to join us as either Civilian Instructors, Uniformed Staff or as a Civilian Committee member.
Our aims are to:
Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people
Provide training which will be useful in both the Services and civilian life.
Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
Our activities are wide and varied and there is something for everyone. 356 (Felixstowe) Squadron is part of Norfolk & Suffolk Wing, home to over 20 squadrons with whom we work and play with on a regular basis. With over 1000 squadrons across the country, the air cadets provides access to an increasingly broader and more challenging range of opportunities as young people progress through their cadet journey.
